At around half past eleven today, this number rang my home phone. I chose not to pick up since I’ve got no contacts in Ayr, Scotland, and figured it was just another one of those bogus “your internet’s been hacked!” type scams. These sort of calls come through all the time, each from different UK codes, but it’s clear they’re actually being made from overseas call centres. What really gets me is - who’s letting these fraudsters use UK area codes to make money off people? Honestly, the government needs to step up and put an end to all this nonsense.
