I got a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, saying my computer was hacked - even though I don’t own one! The lady had a bit of an Indian or Pakistani accent, I reckon. She told me to switch on my PC and tell her what the icon next to the Windows logo was. I told her I couldn’t tell because I had my reading glasses off. Then she got all sassy asking if I was even at my computer or just messing her around. Can you believe that? I just laughed and said, “No mate, you’re the one wasting my time. Buzz off, scammer!”

This number has rung my landline quite a few times. My answering machine is set up to only pick up personal calls and blocks any marketing ones, so if they wanted to get through they needed to leave a message. Since there was no message left, I’m pretty sure it was just another sales call.
