The person who rang me had quite a pronounced foreign accent (definitely not from Scotland!) and I found it difficult to grasp what he was trying to convey. He abruptly ended the call when I inquired about his identity. Whether he meant any harm or not, it felt very much like one of those pesky unsolicited calls.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Direct Line insurance, but the bloke sounded like he was calling from abroad, maybe India or somewhere near. They called me by my first name, which made me think my insurance company might have handed over my details when I made that claim. Definitely sounds dodgy to me.
