Got a call from someone saying they were Virgin Media, telling me I had some dodgy device hooked up to my router and if I switched on my laptop and did what they said, they’d fix it. I asked them how I could be sure they were legit, saying there’s loads of scammers around these days. He just went on about how it’d slow my internet down and to just turn my laptop on. Yeah, no thanks. I blocked the number straight away, but then about an hour later another bloke called, different number, same story. That one’s blocked too now.
