This number has been ringing my phone for the past 5 days - I just swipe it away straight away now. I did naively pick up once before, and it was some pitch about a Funeral Plan. Thing is, I already have one all sorted and paid up. When I told them that, the line just went dead - no reply, just silence. So yeah, that call ended, and so did any chance that company (Fosters or whoever) will ever get my or my loved ones' business. Oh, by the way, I'm still very much alive, which is why I’m sharing this annoying call story!

I reckon these calls are just to check if someone picks up, so they can mark your number as active and then flood you with junk or sell it to other scammers. Best to just block them! Total spam.

I recently received a call from a local number that turned out to belong to a funeral home, which had me worried for a moment. My mind raced with thoughts that perhaps it was concerning a relative or dear friend whose passing I wasn't yet aware of, and they might have obtained my number from their affairs. Thankfully, it wasn't the case! They were merely attempting to peddle funeral insurance. When I mentioned I already had my own coverage in place, the chap was rather courteous and didn’t linger any longer. It seems they've now removed me from their calling list. To be honest, I've dealt with much more bothersome unexpected calls in the past!
