I heard some voices that sounded like they were from a call centre somewhere in the Far East in the background. The person started speaking to me but then suddenly stopped. It was like the typical fake ‘computer issue’ spiel, acting like they were from Openreach or TalkTalk. Definitely seemed like a scam to me.

Do these lot ever quit? If they were half as clever as they reckon, they'd sort a proper job instead of hassling the elderly and vulnerable. I always wonder how their own folks would feel if they had to deal with such pests non stop. The best we can do is hope TalkTalk gets tough on them one day - but honestly, that feels like a bit of a pipe dream. I reckon the scammers rake in too much dosh for it to change. Never ring these numbers back, even if it seems like they've left you a voicemail - chances are they haven’t.

somebody rang claiming they were from openreach. i told them we only deal with corporate ISPs, no individual customers. then they tried to save face by saying my name back to me. after that they got really rude and started insulting me. seriously, these companies should be stopped!

This bloke said he was from Openreach, but when I told him we only deal with corporate ISPs and not private customers, he got all defensive and started shouting out my name to try and prove he was legit. After that, he just got proper aggressive and rude. These firms need to be held accountable for this kind of behaviour!

some bloke rung me up saying he was from bt, told me theres an issue with me computer. i played along stupid and kept him chatting for like 20 minutes. honestly, scammers like these are the worst kind of people.

Got a call today from someone pretending to be TalkTalk, but it turned out to be a scam from a bunch connected to the R Sole family. Watch out for these lot!
