i dont get why someone would ring my home phone at like 7:30 in the morning, its way too early!

Got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft, and they somehow knew my name and address. They told me there was an issue with my laptop, even mentioned my Windows registration number! I decided to mess about a bit and waste his time, just for laughs. I’ve got multiple computers, both desktops and laptops, but he was only interested in the laptop that had all my personal info on it. Eventually I hung up, but he tried ringing me back. The caller’s voice sounded like a mix between English and American.
