We've had the misfortune of being hounded by some chap who rang us three times over the last month, all in a bid to sell us insurance. Honestly, they wouldn't take 'no' for an answer at all! It was utterly relentless. I’ve now signed up for the telephone preference service, which the bloke on the other end claimed would put an end to these persistent calls, albeit at a price. Turns out that's not the case at all, as it's actually a free service! They went on about being affiliated with MTL or NTL, but to be frankly honest, it’s all rather baffling.
