3 monthsGot a call from Chepstow, number starting +44129120 and ending in 413, third time it’s happened today but with slight changes in the last few digits. I blocked it but then they just keep calling with different final digits. I’m hoping no more turn up cos it’s proper annoying. If only I could block the first eight numbers, then maybe these calls would stop completely.Chepstow3 monthsAnswered the phone but no one was there. Definitely seemed like some kind of scam. I just blocked the number.3 monthsI just let these kind of calls ring out and leave a message on the answering machine to figure out if it’s worth picking up. Most times, if you answer, they mark your number as active and sell it on to other firms for profit. There’s a video on YouTube explaining this, so it’s best to be careful. If you don’t recognise the caller, I’d recommend letting it go to voicemail so you don’t end up on a bunch more annoying lists later on. I’ve been sticking to this for quite a while and the number of calls I get has really dropped.YouTube3 monthsI rang back and got a recorded voice saying something about the Energy Department and to press a number to speak to someone. I didn’t bother with it and ended up blocking the number.Energy Department3 monthsPicked up the call and there was complete silence on the other end - seems like another dodgy scam to me.Submit Your Own Report (01291 200413)
