On 10th April 2026 at about 5:17 pm, I got a random call I wasn’t expecting but answered anyway, thinking, “who could be calling me now?” There was nothing but silence on the other end, so I stayed quiet for a bit. After a while with no response, I just hung up. Pretty obvious it was spam.

Some bloke said he was from BT security but then when I asked for my account number he just ended the call. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

They were nice at first, but it was obvious they wanted to sell me some kind of lift insulation. I didn’t hang about and ended the call pretty sharpish.

I got a call from James, who said he was my local energy advisor - looks like he's taken over from Chris. Definitely a phishing scam, beware.
