I got a call from a bloke with a really thick Indian accent who couldn’t say my name properly. When I asked “who’s this?” he just ended the call. I rang back and it sounded like I reached the British Gas customer service. To keep going, I gave them a fake name. They asked me for my customer reference number, but I said no and told them I wanted to know why British Gas would be calling from a private number. Then the line just went dead. I’ve told British Gas about it and they say that number actually belongs to them.
