I received a call purporting to be from my bank's fraud team. Oddly enough, they didn’t mention my name or specify the bank itself. They claimed there was an attempt to process a £600 transaction to a foreign country just a quarter of an hour ago and prompted me to hit 1 on my keypad to either 'approve or reject' this so-called payment. Naturally, I contacted my bank to verify, and they confirmed there was no such transaction in the works. Clearly, it's a scam!

I got a call from someone saying they were from the fraud team at ‘my bank’, warning me about a £600 payment supposed to be going overseas. The lady spoke quietly with a British accent and told me to press 1 to either confirm or stop the transaction. I just ended the call and later looked at my credit card bills - no payment like that had even been made. Pretty sure it’s a scam since they never mentioned my actual name or the real bank’s name.
