I got a rather dodgy recorded call the other day, featuring a lady's voice in a classic English accent. She claimed to be from British Telecom, going on about how my broadband was supposedly being hijacked by folks in my vicinity, and urging me to press a button to 'resolve the issue'. Of course, I had the sense to hang up straight away and promptly block the number. This was actually the second time I’ve been hit with the same patter this week. The first number also kicked off with 0128, but I’d already preemptively blocked that one. For the record, I’m not even a customer of BT!
