Got a call from someone claiming to be my internet provider, saying my IP had been hacked and they'd cut off my service in a day. They asked me to press 1 to speak with a techie... I just hung up straight away. Tried calling the number back out of curiosity, and it only rang a few times before I dropped it. Planning to report this dodgy number to the ICO. If some poor soul’s number’s been faked, I feel sorry for them, but the scammers? Not a bit.
