Some bloke rang up saying there was something wrong with my computer and asked if it was switched on. I told him if he really knew about my computer, he wouldn’t need to ask that. Ended up telling him to bugger off, nice and politely! Have blocked the number now.

These scummy lowlifes claim to be from Microsoft’s so-called security team. They try to scam you into paying for fixing fake problems on your PC that aren’t even there. Just tell them to jog on and block them straight away! They really should take a hike to 'nowhere land'!

I got called yet again by some supposed 'Microsoft Engineer' from abroad trying to get into my PC. When I've got nothing better to do, I sometimes play along for a few minutes, but usually I have to cut it short and get back to work. Signing up for the Telephone Preference Service doesn't seem to stop these calls at all. They still ring me up loads of times every single day.

Some random bloke claiming to be from 'Windows' rang me out of the blue, no clue what for. I was playing along and then they dropped a nasty string of abuse at me, calling me some really rude stuff before slamming the phone down. Proper charming, not.

I picked up the phone, and this bloke said he was calling from Windows, saying my PC was in danger. I told him straight away I was recording the call and had his number tracked. He just shrugged it off like it was nothing. We had a quick back and forth where he tried to convince me he wasn’t some spammer. Then he asked what I made of him. Not long after, he just ended the call.

Got another call from a telemarketer, just spam as usual.

Somebody rang me claiming I was due £200 and wanted my bank info to send it to me. Then they tried getting me to put a dodgy programme on my computer - basically a trojan that tracks your keystrokes. Once you've done that, they’d have all your banking stuff. Proper scam alert!
