Some bloke rang claiming to be from BT OpenReach, saying there was an issue with my phone line. I never reported any faults and everything seems fine on my end. He asked if he could link a BT server to my laptop to run some tests. I explained I wasn’t comfortable with that as it felt risky and asked for his number to call him later. He said he got why I was worried but insisted it was the only way to find the problem.

Got a call from a bloke claiming to be from BT broadband, saying my internet was about to get disconnected 'cos of some illegal stuff linked to my connection. He told me if I wanted to fix it, I had to let him install stuff on my computer. No way I was letting some random person do that, especially from an unexpected call. Luckily, I watched a vid on this site about fake Microsoft tech support scams just like that. We really gotta stick together to fight these scammers.

I received a message stating that my internet service is going to be terminated. It urged me to press a certain number to avert this. Clearly a scam!
