Got a call that sounded like it was coming from BT Tech Support, but the line had that far away kind of echo. Didn’t hang around to hear their whole spiel or see what it was about.

Somebody rang claiming to be from BT OpenReach saying there was an issue with my phone line. I hadn’t noticed anything wrong nor reported a problem. He asked if he could link a BT server to my laptop to do some checks. I felt it sounded dodgy and asked for his number so I could ring him later. He said he got why I was cautious but insisted it was the only way to find the fault.
