They prompted me to press 1 for assistance, which I did, but the line disconnected almost immediately. To get to the bottom of things, I reached out to my actual provider, TalkTalk, and they assured me there were no problems with my account. In fact, they’re now taking steps to block this dodgy number from their system altogether.
