i answered the phone and all i could hear was noises that sounded like a call centre, definitely just some spam. marked it blocked right away!

Like lots of others, someone rang saying they were from BT Openreach and that my broadband would be down for 3 or 4 working days. I told them I wasn’t buying it and just ended the call straight away.

I guess my phone number’s bumped up high on their calling list since they ring me every single day. It’s always that same dodgy scam routine. Honestly, the smartest move is just to not answer and let it ring out.

Just got a silent ring from 01849 326 825, I picked up but there was complete silence. Had the page for that number open checking reviews when my phone buzzed again, this time showing 01287 96762. The bloke on the line had a strong Indian accent, said his name was Peter and claimed to be from BT Openreach about my broadband. Asked him to repeat and when he did, I questioned “What about the broadband then?” and suddenly the call cut off. Seems both these numbers are linked to the same dodgy call centre, definitely not BT Openreach as I’ve never had any deal with them. Total scam!

They claimed to be with Open Reach, but the line was terrible and then they just dropped the call.

Got a call from someone with a strange accent asking to speak to the marketing manager. Told them no one was here to take the call. The line was really poor quality. They said they'd ring back, but I seriously doubt I'll pick up next time!

This bloke said he was from BT, but when I asked for proof, he couldn’t really back it up. He kept calling an IP address a “one-p” address or something daft like that. Pretty sure he was some kind of scammer, probably trying to sneak into my computer.

Got a call with loads of noise in the background, sounded like a busy call centre. The person had a funny accent and claimed to be from BT, saying there was a problem with my broadband because someone was using my wifi late at night. It seemed dodgy straight away, so I just ended the call.
