Yesterday, I received a rather dubious call from someone claiming to be inquiring about my 91-year-old mother. He stated he was reaching out regarding an accident she’d supposedly had and seemed to suggest some sort of private compensation had been set up for the very day it supposedly happened. Unfortunately for him, I had to inform him that my mum is well past the point of driving; she doesn't possess either a car or a driving licence! Such cheek!
