Like others have said, I got a voicemail saying there was an issue with my internet connection. They asked me to press a number and provide my router info. I spotted it was a scam straight away and just ended the call.

About half an hour ago, this number with an international prefix rang me. There was a pre-recorded message supposedly from some internet company - I couldn’t quite make out the name - warning that my internet service would be disconnected within 24 hours. They mentioned something about an ‘unless’, but I had already realised it was probably a scam, so I just hung up and never found out what that ‘unless’ was meant to be about.

Honestly, it’s a total scam. They ring up pretending to be your internet company, saying your connection will be cut off in a day unless you give them your account info. Your real provider won’t ever ask for stuff like that because they already have all your details. Best to just hang up and not engage at all.

Got a call about 10 minutes ago with some recorded message claiming my internet would be disconnected in a day. I played along to see what they wanted - turns out they were fishing for my external IP address. Honestly, I like messing with these scammers until they start thinking they'll actually get my info, then I shut them down nicely. These are outright con artists, total rip-offs. Don’t hand over any info to these muppets or you might end up losing money, your identity, or personal data from your devices at home! Stay alert!
