Like others have said, this is definitely a scam where they try to get access to your computer. I've had calls from the number 01261 421045 too, it’s the same dodgy scheme.

So my elderly dad, who’s 83, got a voicemail from this number claiming his phone line was at risk or something, supposedly from California. It said to press 1 to chat with a BT advisor. Complete scam if you ask me. Luckily, I was around to stop him from doing anything that might have ended up costing him a lot of money. Would hate for him to fall for that trick.

Got an automated call saying my internet was going to be cut off unless I pressed 1 to speak to a tech. They said I had 24 hours to sort it out. Sounded dodgy to me!

Got a robot voice saying my internet will be cut off in 24 hours and to press 1 to talk to a tech. Pretty fishy if you ask me.

Got a call from a robot voice telling me my internet would be cut off within the next day, and said to press 1 if I wanted to talk to a tech person. Pretty annoying!
