On 8th Nov 2018 at about 2:24pm, I got a call from someone with a foreign accent saying they were from BT’s Tech Support. They started with all that scary stuff about urgent problems and told me to press 1 immediately. I just hung up straight away. But weirdly, the line didn’t go dead, no dial tone or anything. In the end, I had to switch off my fibre broadband and unplug all my phones that plug into the wall. Such a hassle!
