Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent claiming she was with BT Openreach. I could hear loads of background chatter, like a busy call centre. She was asking if my 'One P' (IP) number had been altered, saying the area code didn’t match where I live, or if someone had tampered with it without permission. She wanted me to check the number so she could provide a code. I had a feeling it was dodgy, told her I couldn’t do that then and asked her to ring me back instead.
