I got a call from someone saying my TV insurance was about to expire and they could give me a cheaper deal for two more years. The caller was a polite English-speaking woman who sounded really genuine. Luckily, I don’t actually have any insurance on my TV, but I reckon if I did, I might have easily been fooled. I’m guessing the next step would’ve been asking for my bank info. I told them I'd call them back because I needed to mull it over. Now I’m wondering if they’ll ring me again.

Somebody keeps asking for Andrew Kelly when they ring me. I also got a call from a different number about some accident involving a Mr Kelly. I've had this number for like 15 years and have no clue who Andrew Kelly is, so I just ended the call.

Got a call from a North Wales number but I’m based in South Wales, so I picked up. A man with an accent from Bangladesh answered and even knew my name! He said he wasn’t trying to sell anything and asked if I could answer 10 questions. I hesitated, then he asked if he could start anyway. I said no and told him to take my number off his list before hanging up. These annoying calls from who knows where really need to stop. When will the Government sort out allowing people outside the UK using UK numbers? No surprise there’s so many scams going on.

I got a call from a friendly sounding woman with a bit of an accent, probably South Asian, asking lots of questions about our energy supplier and looking for someone named Susan - who I have no clue about. It all felt a bit dodgy, like she was fishing for info to use for something sketchy. She said she was American too. I handed the phone over to my missus, who acted like she couldn't hear a word, then passed it to my 4-year-old, who just ended the call.

The number had a local area code, so I tried calling it back. It was some automated American voice saying their opening times and to ring back during those hours. Problem is, they called me first and from what the recording said, they should have been open?? Weirdly, the message didn’t give any other info.
