Beware of scammers! I received a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying he was from Virgin Media. He claimed my wifi was having problems, but I knew everything was fine. Still, he kept pushing me to download some software on my laptop. I got suspicious and hung up straight away. I’m convinced if I’d gone along with it, they’d have gotten hold of my personal details and probably my online banking too. I’ve reported it to Virgin, and they said they’re going to look into it.

Got a call from a lady who sounded like she was working in one of those call centres, saying she was with BT OpenReach and there was something wrong with my internet. I told her I wasn't having any issues at all, and she just hung up on me straight away. From what I’ve seen in other reviews, this same number has also pretended to be Virgin Media before. Definitely feels like a scam.

I received a call from a lady with a noticeable Indian accent, claiming she was contacting me on behalf of BT OpenReach. She informed me that there were issues with my broadband. I replied, “Oh, is that so? Because I’m not experiencing any problems,” and to my surprise, she hung up immediately. I have my suspicions that it might be a scam, especially since the same number has previously reached out to me, pretending to represent Virgin Media.

I got a call from a woman who said she was with Virgin Media, telling me there was a problem with my router sending out bad data. Funny enough, I was actually having an engineer sort out my router right at that moment when she rang. I knew straight away it was dodgy because some of the stuff she talked about just can’t happen. I told them I only use a mobile phone, and after that, they just went quiet and ended the call. Then, about 20 minutes later, I got another call from the same voice but a different number and area code. They didn’t know my name or any details. Definitely a scam!

This bloke said he was from Virgin Media and told me there was an issue with my internet. He gave the name James but admitted he’d rung me the day before claiming to be Steve. He asked me to get onto my laptop, but I laughed and said I don’t own one. Then he told me to log in on my phone. I told him I’d locate my phone and ring Virgin Media directly. He didn’t sound pleased. Turns out, it wasn’t Virgin Media at all when I called them myself.

Received a call earlier from someone claiming to be from 'Virgin Media' with a distinctly Asian accent. They informed me there was an issue with my broadband and offered to guide me through the resolution. I mean, really? When has Virgin Media ever reached out without some prior complaint?
