I asked again who it was, and that’s when their tone turned really hostile. I told them I was recording the call (which I was) and they instantly hung up. I usually don’t pick up unknown numbers, but something about this felt fishy, so I put my phone on speaker and recorded it on my other device. Honestly, people like this should be in trouble with the law.

Whenever I clarify that I'm not, the call gets cut off straight away without any further discussion. It's curious, as she seems to have my surname spot on, yet my first name isn't Roger-merely a similar one.

Honestly, I’ve had enough of these calls from UK benefits, they keep ringing me from different numbers all the time. After a while, I just lost my temper because they won’t stop. Once they get your number, they just keep bombarding you non-stop. It’s ridiculous that some authority isn’t stepping in to shut down this annoying company for pestering people just because they've managed to get their phone number.

Got a call from this number, right away they asked to verify my address and then pushed me to say my full name. I told them I wasn’t gonna share any details, but they kept saying they already had it on file and just needed me to confirm. The bloke on the other end had a south Asian accent and was inquiring whether I was a council tenant or simply occupying the property, echoing what someone else mentioned. I have a sneaking suspicion that this same chap has rung before, but for a different issue. When I hinted that he might be calling from India, he rather curtly corrected me, saying he was actually from Pakistan. Quite the intriguing experience!

Had no clue who they were and didn’t even let them get to introduce themselves. They somehow knew my name but kept calling me 'Sir', which got on my nerves. I told them no Mr. So-and-so lives here, she said sorry, then ended the call. I reckon it’s some UK benefits lot since they ring constantly from different numbers. Proper fed up with it now. It's weird how I go ages without a single cold call, then suddenly they're nonstop for weeks! The other day, some bloke from India called, sounded like he was munching on something while talking, asking for my husband by name. I said he doesn't live here and he just hung up straight away. I've decided from now on, if scammers ring, I'll mess with them a bit - if they ask if I own the place, I'll say I’m just renting, and if they want me or my husband, I'll say they don't live here. Never giving them any real info is the way to go.
