Received a call from someone who insisted our IP address was hacked, pretending to represent BT Openreach. I’ve had enough and blocked their number! The cheek of it - I’m actually with TalkTalk, not BT!

My dad’s 91 and got a call from these dodgy people. They never explained what it was about, so he just ended the call. Then, within minutes, they rang him four times, saying they’d ‘disconnect’ him without saying what exactly. I grabbed the phone eventually and warned them I’d report their number to the police. Despite that, they rang once more, trying to get me to note down some disconnection code. I just hung up and left the phone off the hook for a bit to put them off.

Got a call from some sort of security firm, but my 63-year-old dad got called stupid for not having an email. Honestly just hang up and ignore them. Don’t get bothered like my dad did, it’s a total waste of your time.
