I received a call from a chap with an accent that sounded quite odd, claiming to be from Microsoft. He insisted that my emails had been compromised and that a virus had infiltrated my computer. He even provided me with a reference number to make it seem more credible. Honestly, if I’d been a bit thick, he might have really pulled one over on me. But as luck would have it, we don’t own a computer, so it didn’t take me long to figure out it was all a ruse. The moment I mentioned this, he promptly ended the call!
