I got a call supposedly from Microsoft saying my PC was involved in some criminal activity in the US. The bloke on the phone, who sounded like he was from India, ended up giving me a proper UK address with a postcode. When I asked him to send me an email with the details, he told me it wouldn’t help and that he needed to access my computer to sort it out. I kept insisting on the email, and then he just said "we’ll lock your computer" and hung up. Nice try, but I’m not that daft, living here in the UK.
