The call started with about a 5-10 second pause before some sort of woman with a pretty monotone, almost robotic sounding voice spoke up. Honestly, it was hard to tell if it was a real person or not. She said something about a car crash that I supposedly wasn’t responsible for. When she said “is that right?” I told her no, it wasn’t, and she just hung up straight away. At least she didn’t bother trying to argue or pressure me.

got a call from an automated voice claiming to be bt, warning me my internet would be cut off today. they asked me to choose options to avoid disconnection, but i didn’t press anything and just ended the call. it feels a bit dodgy since we recently renewed our contract for another year only a few months back. i tried ringing the number that showed up on my caller ID, but it just said ‘wrong number dialled’. pretty sure it’s some scam, but not 100% sure, so i’m just going to leave it be for now.
