They said they were Tops Energy. The caller was a young girl, sounded maybe 15, and said her name was Abby. She started asking all these questions about my energy usage at home. I cut her off and told her the call was against the law since my number’s on the TPS list. She seemed a bit lost and mentioned something about it being an "automated dial", then just hung up. I've reported it to the ICO.

Got a call from a windows replacement company about a job I supposedly enquired about last June for doors. I told the guy I wasn’t interested, my doors are alright as they are. But he just kept going on, asking how old my doors were. Told him that’s none of his business, only that I’m not interested. He wouldn’t drop it, kept pushing about the age. In the end, I just said sorry and hung up.

A bloke rang me claiming he was an energy advisor or something like that. I told him if it had anything to do with changing energy companies I’d already sorted that out. He said no, he wasn’t calling about switching and kept repeating the same question about whether I owned or rented my home, yet never actually told me who he was. I asked why he needed to know and said I wasn’t comfortable answering him. Then the call just cut off.

Got a call today claiming I’d taken part in some 'phone survey' back in February, which I definitely didn’t. They were offering vouchers, so I thought I’d humour them a bit. When I showed interest, they asked if I wanted a quote for some work, and I said yes. Next thing, they’re setting up an appointment without even asking for my address - must have had it already. The details they gave about my area sounded really outdated, like from a decade ago. Then they asked if I had a partner, and when I said yes, they insisted ‘we need her too’ because of some ‘policy’. They started trying to pencil in a day when both of us would be available. By then I’d lost interest and told them I wasn’t keen. Moments after the call ended, they rang me back - instantly went on my block list. Feels like they’re breaking GDPR rules by holding onto my info without consent.

A woman rang me claiming she was from First, Bury St Edmunds, saying I did a survey last November and this was a follow-up. She was offering discount vouchers for windows and doors, saying they’d last for two years and I didn’t have to use them if I didn’t want to. I told her I wasn’t interested and she was quite alright with that. I’ve since blocked the number.

I just picked up a call from this number. The woman asked for my partner, and when I said he was at work, she said she’d ring back. She claimed he’d want to speak to her, even though I said it felt like a cold call. She insisted she wasn’t a cold caller and had spoken to him before, which I really doubted. Then she got quite upset, accusing me of calling her a liar and said I was rude! It made me feel pretty uneasy. Later, I looked up the number and saw it’s Anglia First - there’s no way my partner has dealt with them before!
