This number tried ringing me, but luckily my BT Call Blocker stopped it since it’s not saved in my contacts. They didn’t identify themselves or explain why they were calling, so I couldn’t decide if I should pick up. They didn’t even leave a voicemail. After seeing what others have said about it, I’ve blocked this number straight away.

Got a call on Tuesday saying there was some issue with broadband in my neighbourhood. They asked what speed my broadband was running at, and I told them I didn’t really know. Then they wanted to know if I had a computer or laptop nearby. When I asked for their name, the caller just snapped back with “Hope you drop dead, you f###### ####”. That pretty much proved to me straight away it was a scam call!

Got a call from someone pretending to be from BT Openreach. It was pretty convincing since I'd just been chatting with my internet provider about slow speeds, and they mentioned it could be Openreach causing the problem. They tried to get me to install Teamviewer so they could access my router (which both the ISP and this caller said might be the culprit), but that set off alarm bells for me. When I asked for a proper phone number to ring them back, they immediately cut the call. Definitely felt like a dodgy scam.
