I’m so over getting calls like this. This latest one came from Bury St Edmunds, looks like another scam for sure. Been getting calls from places like Coventry, York, Burton, Sheffield, London, and Manchester too. It’s been happening almost every day since December started. These numbers are definitely dodgy. Watch out!

Someone rang claiming to be from a credit company, I just replied with a polite no thanks. Then out of nowhere they started calling me a "f#### w####" and told me to "fuck off". Ridiculous!

I got a call from a guy with a strong African accent who was rambling on about some kind of debt collection. He actually knew my name and wanted me to explain the debts I supposedly owed. When I asked where he was calling from, he said Glasgow, even though the number showed as Bury St Edmunds. I pointed that out, and he said the numbers are autogenerated by computers. I kept pressing him with questions and then he just cut me off and hung up!

This individual pretended to be associated with the NHS, ringing me up with queries regarding vaccine side effects. Strangely, they then shifted the conversation to whether I had any outstanding debts as a result of COVID-19. When I pressed for clarification, they claimed that if I shared all my financial details, they could supposedly wipe my debts clean under some government initiative, insisting I wouldn’t owe a penny afterwards. I firmly declined and ended the call without further ado.

This number has rung me multiple times, but since I'm unfamiliar with it, I always ignore the calls. That's typically how I handle unknown numbers; I make it clear in my voicemail message, yet oddly enough, they never bother to leave a message! I apply the same approach to any unsolicited text I receive and I absolutely SHAN'T click on any links embedded in messages. There are far too many dodgy scams out there to place my trust in any text with a hyperlink. I’ve had a fair few from different banks, the DVLA, delivery firms, and even HMRC!

Blimey, these scam calls just keep coming at me nonstop, them lot on 01284 630186 included! It’s just non-stop ringing, I’ve had to block so many numbers recently. Wish the authorities had a bit more teeth when it comes to these annoying calls. Surely there’s gotta be some way to punish those who ring people on the do-not-call lists, like maybe some kind of harsh penalty or some tech that buzzes their phones right back? He mentioned he was regulated by the FCA, so I countered that it should be possible for him to drop me a line.
