I’m so over getting calls like this. This latest one came from Bury St Edmunds, looks like another scam for sure. Been getting calls from places like Coventry, York, Burton, Sheffield, London, and Manchester too. It’s been happening almost every day since December started. These numbers are definitely dodgy. Watch out!

Someone rang claiming to be from a credit company, I just replied with a polite no thanks. Then out of nowhere they started calling me a "f#### w####" and told me to "fuck off". Ridiculous!

I got a call from a guy with a strong African accent who was rambling on about some kind of debt collection. He actually knew my name and wanted me to explain the debts I supposedly owed. When I asked where he was calling from, he said Glasgow, even though the number showed as Bury St Edmunds. I pointed that out, and he said the numbers are autogenerated by computers. I kept pressing him with questions and then he just cut me off and hung up!

Got a call from someone saying they were with the NHS, asking about any side effects from the vaccine. Then they started asking if I owed any debts linked to COVID-19. When I pushed back, they said if I gave them all my debt info, they could supposedly sort it out through some government programme so I wouldn't have to pay. I just stayed silent, didn’t say thanks, and ended the call.

This number has rung me a bunch of times but I just ignore any calls from numbers I don’t recognise, it’s just how I always deal with unknown callers. Even on my voicemail I make it clear I don’t answer random calls. Weirdly enough, they’ve never bothered leaving a message! I’m also really cautious with random texts and never click on links in any message. There’s just too many scams these days to trust anything that’s sent out of the blue. I’ve seen loads of dodgy texts supposedly from banks, the DVLA, parcel delivery firms and even HMRC!

Blimey, these scam calls just keep coming at me nonstop, them lot on 01284 630186 included! It’s just non-stop ringing, I’ve had to block so many numbers recently. Wish the authorities had a bit more teeth when it comes to these annoying calls. Surely there’s gotta be some way to punish those who ring people on the do-not-call lists, like maybe some kind of harsh penalty or some tech that buzzes their phones right back? I picked up the phone and the guy already knew my name. He said he was from Citizens Advice, but I told him to send me something in writing instead. Then he claimed he was regulated by the FCA, so I asked if that meant he could write to me. This was actually the fourth time he'd called me in just one hour, so there's no way he's properly regulated by the FCA.
