I got a call from someone pretending to be BT, saying my phone line was hacked. I told them I wasn’t convinced it was really BT, so they gave me what sounded like a legit PIN to prove it. Right after that, I ended the call and said I’d ring BT myself. When I dialled the number they gave me later, it wasn’t BT at all - just a dead line. Watch out for these lot, they sound proper convincing.
