I got a call from this number today and my phone flagged it as international, which was strange since it starts with 01284.

I just got a call and there was this obvious call centre noise in the background. I answered with a simple hello, then some kinda rough-sounding voice on the other end just said hello back and then straight away hung up. Really annoying and pointless.

got a call today from some “first energy” folks claiming it was just a survey, supposedly not selling anything. sounds harmless enough i guess, but they really shouldn’t be cold-calling me like that. based on what ive been through before, once you start answering these surveys, you end up getting flooded with sales calls shortly after. not a fan of that at all.

I'm quite deaf, so I struggled to make out most of what the woman on the phone was saying. From what I caught, it sounded like some kind of survey about my postcode area CB1 in Cambridge South. I told her it wasn’t a good time for me and ended the call. About 30 minutes later, my phone rang again, this time from a different number starting with 0128 (2612437, from Bury St Edmunds, I think). I didn’t know the number so I didn’t pick up. The caller just hung up without leaving a voicemail.
