I received a couple of calls the other day from a rather monotonous automated woman's voice claiming to be from Talk Talk. She insisted that I would lose my internet access unless I pressed either 1 or 2. I hung up straight away the first time, as I suspected it was a scam. The second time, I called 1471 and noted the number, but I wasn’t keen on returning the call because my suspicions lingered. At 90 years of age, these things really shake me up, especially since I depend on my laptop to communicate and enjoy a bit of gaming now and then.
