Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, but they didn’t bother leaving any message.

i keep getting calls like this one pretty much every day from loads of different numbers. the caller ID just shows unknown, so i don’t pick up because it feels like another scam trying to catch people out, especially reading what others have said here. seems like someone’s sharing a bunch of random phone numbers around just to annoy or trick people.

I got a call from a woman with an Indian accent saying she was calling from Sky about issues I was apparently having with my internet.

Got a call from an Indian guy who said he was from BT Openreach. He told me my internet was running slow and offered to sort it out. I just hung up on him straight away.

For the past week, ive been receiving calls where noone talks, just silence, and then they hang up after a bit. Now, these calls are happening super early in the morning and they woke me up twice already. Its really annoying and feels like harassment. The caller only says a name ive never heard before.

some bloke pretending to be from virgin media about my internet, total scammer. i’ve got a phd in computer science so i actually find these calls quite amusing. i mess with them, pretend i don’t understand, take ages following their directions on purpose. this one guy spent nearly 40 minutes before he tried to get me to put some remote access thing on my pc. heads up - never put anything like that on your machine! but honestly, it’s quite funny stringing them along, the longer they’re busy chatting with me the less time they’ve got to scam the vulnerable.
