Got a recorded voice telling me to ring back straight away about some arrest warrant. I’ve checked with the proper authorities and they know all about this trick! Honestly, don’t pick up. HMRC won’t ever phone you out of the blue!

Got a voicemail saying it was HMRC, telling me I’m under investigation for tax fraud! Don’t pick up or call back, just block it straight away! HMRC never phones you directly, they always send an email or a letter instead.
