My mum got a call from some Asian bloke who said there was dodgy stuff happening with her bank account and he needed to verify her details. Luckily, she didn’t give away any info and hung up straight away.

Got a call from a supposed Visa service warning me about charges on my card linked to Amazon and Western Union. The message asked me to ring a certain number to report it... but honestly, if you call, you’ll probably get stung with a massive fee for dialing a premium rate. Total scam in my opinion!

Got a call supposedly from Visa claiming there was some suspicious stuff going on with my card. Problem is, I don’t even own a Visa or any card at all. Pure spam! Don’t press any numbers they tell you to. Just end the call straightaway. If you’re worried, it’s best to go in person to your bank and have them look over your account instead.
