They’ve rang a couple times already but everytime I pick up there’s no one there, then they just cut off after a bit.

I've had a few calls from different numbers all starting with the Burton-on-Trent area code. I've reported them to both BT and Ofcom, but they couldn't care less (sounds like someone's cashing in on this). It feels like as soon as you block one number, they just tweak a digit and call back. Seriously considering just disconnecting my landline altogether.
