Someone rang me pretending to be from Amazon about an issue with my Prime account. I don’t think it was legit since there's nothing wrong with my subscription and Amazon hardly ever phones you out of the blue. If they start asking for your account info, my tip is just to put the phone down straight away.

I received a call from someone purporting to be from Amazon's customer service, claiming there was an issue with my Prime membership and they requested my account information. I promptly ended the call, as it’s quite uncommon for Amazon to reach out like that regarding account matters. After logging into my Amazon account, I can confirm everything is perfectly fine, so it’s clearly a scam. I’d strongly recommend anyone in a similar situation to simply hang up!
