The only reason I picked up was that my mother is currently in hospital, and I assumed it might be some news from the hospital. When I inquired about why they were contacting us despite our registration with the Telephone Preference Service, her curt response was simply, "BECAUSE WE'RE OPEN." It was astonishing - no hint of an apology, just a brutal hang-up. It’s absolutely outrageous behaviour and they are clearly skating on thin ice.
