We've had this phone number in our family for about 20 years, but this morning everything changed. BT told us some dodgy call centre abroad has been using our number to make calls. Because of this mess, we had to cut off our phone and now we're stuck going through the nightmare of getting a new number. Apparently, it’s not our fault - just really bad luck. Sorry if you've been rung by this number recently, it’s totally not us.

I reckon the Telco workers over at Talk Talk must be passing on your digits to fraudsters or something. When I shifted to a different provider, I noticed the scam calls just dried up.

I got this automated call saying my phone line is at risk and it'll be cut off within 24 hours. They told me to press 1 to speak with their tech support team. Definitely sounds dodgy to me.

I just got a call as well, saying my internet service is going to be cut off in a day if I don't press one to sort out some issue. Sounds like another scam to me. Fingers crossed my internet stays on!
