They claimed to be 02 offering some brilliant deals but I just ended the call straight away.

Some of these calls are a total risk, I just hang up and block straight away. Looks like the IP addresses are getting messed about by folks over in that continent. Complete rubbish, best just to give 'em the cold shoulder.

The call came through but there was no message left on my voicemail, which made it clear to me it wasn’t anything serious - just another scam attempt.

Got a call from what said it was my internet provider, with some robot voice saying my IP was hacked and my service would be stopped. Then it told me to press 1 if I wanted help. Hung up straight away, seemed really dodgy to me.

total scam alert! if you get a call, just end it and block their number straight away. these idiots usually ring from loads of different numbers, so be ready to do it a bunch of times. best thing is to just not even bother with them.
