There was about 15 seconds of silence first, then they played Chopin's Minute Waltz all the way through (the one from Radio 4's 'Just a Minute') which lasts around 6 minutes. Twice during the playback, a robotic voice popped up saying 'Your call is important to us - please stay on the line'. After 6 minutes, the call just ended. Honestly, I can't see what sort of scam this would be for - feels more like some prankster just messing about for the fun of it.

Just got a call from this number. Nothing was said for a bit but then I heard a woman say to make sure to get the bank info. When they finally said hello, they messed up my name, so I told them they had the wrong number.

Energy Solutions have called me 36 times, all of which I blocked! What a nuisance!

The call was dead silent on the other end. I guess it was an older guy but not someone who sounded doddery or confused, just seemed like too much effort to bother with. We’re registered with TPS so obviously not answering. I don’t get why these numbers keep operating when so many folks report them as scams - why don’t the authorities just shut them down?

I use a guardian phone which blocks any numbers that aren’t saved on my contacts, so random numbers can’t get through. If you’re getting loads of annoying calls like that, I’d say it’s well worth getting one to save yourself the hassle.

Loads of people have said this, but I also got a call from Energy Solutions, it appeared as Burnley on my screen. They wouldn't say where they found my info, and completely brushed off the fact that I'm on the TPS list. Quite annoying really.

Got a call from someone who said he wasn’t trying to sell me anything. Then he asked if my windows were quite old. I asked if they check the number against the TPS first, and he was like, why would I do that? I told him I’m actually on the TPS list. After that, he replied, “Didn’t you think to mention that before I started?” and just hung up on me. Lovely.

They claimed the company was named Energy Solutions and were giving out £2,000 to help pay for new windows. They mentioned they’re contacting everyone nearby. When I told them I’m on the TPS, they said their records must be off and promised to fix it. Sounds like another scam to me. I filed a complaint with the TPS but can’t see them doing much about it.

They said they were from something like NHS solutions, though I’m not sure if that was exactly right. They claimed the goverment is offering a home improvement deal with up to £2000 towards new windows and doors. The lady asked me how many I needed, and I just told her the usual to all cold callers, “not interested, thanks” and ended the call before she could say more. I never accept anything from cold calls. If I want something, I go and find it myself. There’s just far too many scams going around now.

01282 797805 tried to trick my poor mum who has dementia, nearly got her. They sent someone round because mum said she was fed up of calls and thought if they came in person and gave a quote, they’d stop bothering her. Luckily I was upstairs without him knowing. He claimed there was a scrappage scheme and mum could get loads off new windows. The bloke wouldn’t take no for an answer and then asked mum for money to cover his travel costs. That’s when I came rushing down and he legged it quick as. I was ready to give him a proper telling off. Please watch out for these types.

Got a call from an undisclosed number just to try and get me to agree to something, which I know breaks OFCOM's regulations. Afterwards, I received a silent call from the same number, which also isn't allowed by OFCOM. The call centre was apparently working on behalf of Energy Solutions - I've made a complaint to OFCOM about it.

My phone rang and I picked up, but there was nothing at first. Then I heard a recorded voice saying I was being put through to an operator, and after that, some piano music started playing. I hung up, but the line stayed open, so I had to pull the plug on the phone. When I checked the number with 1471, turns out it was from Burnley!
