The thing is, I don’t have any visa transactions linked to my debit card; I solely use a MasterCard for credit. Clearly a scam, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number.

I received a recorded message purporting to be from BT, warning me that my email account was at risk of being deactivated unless I linked it to my broadband. They instructed me to press 1, but I decided to hang up instead. BT later assured me that it was indeed a scam.
