I got a call from someone claiming to be from BT internet. There was a recorded voice warning that my internet was about to be disconnected and said to press 1 to stop it or 2 to let it get cut off. I hit 1 and got connected to someone with an Indian accent who asked how they could assist me. I told them they’d called me first. Then she went on about my router showing error signals. I acted clueless and said I didn’t even have a router or internet. Then I told them they sounded like scammers. After that, they just hung up on me.

Then I got connected to someone who sounded like they were from India, asking how they could assist me. I told them they’d called me, and she immediately started a spiel about errors coming from my router. I pretended not to understand and said I didn’t even have internet or a router. I told them straight up they were scam callers, and then they just ended the call.
