I received a phone call regarding a transaction of £300 for something on Amazon, along with a mention of an overseas money transfer. It felt very much like a scam; the voice was rather mechanical and unconvincing.

Got a call from this number saying I supposedly had £300 waiting on Amazon and £1100 with some international payments. They wanted me to confirm because apparently it was odd activity for my account. The bloke said he was from the Visa debit team but when I asked him which bank exactly, he just repeated "Visa debit department." Tried asking one more time for the bank's name and then they just hung up on me. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.
