Looks like it’s from Fuel Card Services in Burnley, not some dodgy scam. I’ve got one of their fuel cards myself, but it can get a bit irritating when they ring up trying to get you to use it more often. I’m really not a fan of sales calls, so I wish they’d just drop me an email if they need to get in touch.

Classic cold caller behaviour - probably one of those annoying automated calls pretending to be local but could be from anywhere. Honestly, I reckon BT should step in and sort out how these numbers get handed out cos they're kinda involved if they don’t stop this nonsense!

This number rang me and I normally ignore calls from unfamiliar numbers, but every now and then I pick up just incase it’s something urgent. It’s frustrating because so many folks still don’t have caller ID or feel they have to answer every call in case they miss something important. It’s just awful how some people think it’s alright to scam others, trying to take their details and maybe even their cash. I don’t understand how they sleep at night doing that.

Someone rang asking about a company car, I told them I didn’t have one, then they switched to talking about fuel. I said, if I don’t have a car, why would I want fuel? Then they just ended the call.

They say they're calling from Burnley. Mentioned somethin about a business fuel card. Told the guy over and over, like 5 times, that I wasn't interested and never would be. Just like other folks have said, he wouldn’t listen or get it. So I just said thanks anyway and ended the call. Had to block the number even though I’m registered on the TPS.

Got a call from Fuel Cards Direct, and the bloke started chatting about his entire life story. Honestly, it felt really unprofessional and just wasted my time during work. Ended up blocking the number!

Oh this is the classic “Youve been in an accident that wasnt your fault” scam again. I normally just play along, say yeah and listen through all the nonsense, then tell them it was actually my dog behind the wheel coz I was completely wasted and let him drive home. Thats when they usually start getting a bit rude, which always makes me laugh. Cant figure out how to block this number tho?

I found out that this number belongs to Fuel Card Services. Rest assured, it’s not a scam or anything of the sort. They actually supply fuel cards for major brands like Shell and BP, among others.
